Refund policy

At The Vedic Crust, we take pride in bringing traditional Indian flavours to your home. We carefully prepare, pack, and dispatch our products to ensure they reach you in the best possible condition.

As we deal in food products, our refund and return policy is designed to maintain food safety, hygiene, and customer satisfaction.

1. Returns on Food Products

For hygiene and food safety reasons, we generally do not accept returns or exchanges of food products once delivered.

However, if you receive a product that is damaged, defective, incorrect, or compromised during transit, we will review the issue and arrange an appropriate resolution.

2. Eligible Refund or Replacement Cases

You may be eligible for a refund or replacement if:

Damaged Product: Your order arrives damaged or the packaging is seriously compromised.
Incorrect Product: You receive a product different from the one you ordered.
Missing Items: One or more products are missing from your order.
Quality Issues: The product appears spoiled, contaminated, or otherwise unsuitable for consumption upon delivery.
Order Not Delivered: Your order is confirmed as lost or undelivered after verification.

All claims are subject to verification by our customer support team.

3. How to Report an Issue

If you experience a problem with your order, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery.

Please share the following details:

Your order number.
A description of the issue.
Clear photographs or an unboxing video, where available.
Photographs of the product, packaging, and shipping label, if relevant.

This information helps us investigate and resolve your concern quickly.

Important: Please do not consume a product if you suspect it is spoiled, contaminated, or unsafe.

4. Refund Process

Once your complaint has been reviewed and approved, we will notify you of the resolution.

Depending on the circumstances, we may offer:

A full or partial refund.
A replacement product.
Another mutually agreed resolution.

Approved refunds will generally be processed within 5–10 business days. The time taken for the amount to appear in your account may depend on your bank, payment provider, or original payment method.

Refunds for prepaid orders will generally be issued to the original payment method. Any refund for Cash on Delivery (COD) orders will be arranged through a suitable method communicated by our support team.

5. Order Cancellation

Cancellation requests may be accepted if the order has not yet been processed or dispatched.

Once an order has been dispatched, cancellation may no longer be possible. Please contact our support team as soon as possible if you wish to cancel an order.

If a cancellation is approved for a prepaid order, the applicable refund will be processed according to our refund procedure.

6. Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds or replacements may not be available in the following circumstances:

A change of mind after successful delivery.
Incorrect delivery details provided by the customer.
Damage caused by improper storage or handling after delivery.
Products that have been opened, consumed, or tampered with, except where necessary to investigate a reported quality or safety issue.
Complaints reported after the stated reporting period, unless otherwise required by applicable law.

These exclusions do not limit any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws.

7. Shipping Charges

Original shipping charges may not be refundable for ordinary cancellations or other non-eligible cases.

Where an order issue qualifies for a refund or replacement due to our error, a defective product, or a delivery-related problem, we will assess the applicable shipping charges as part of the resolution.
